The large inscription above reads: "Martha received him into her house" and below: "Mary sat and heard his word." The memorial inscription reads: "In Loving Memory of Mary Simmens 1909-1999. Placed by Elaine and Don Simmens. The makers mark shows in the bottom right corner. It reads: "Robert McCausland Ltd. Toronto 2002".
