Wide gothic window in the entrance way to the nave, showing Christ as a traveller holding a lamp and knocking at a door. The inscription below reads: "I stand at the door and knock." The memorial inscription reads: "In Loving Memory of Frederick Robert Paterson 1896-1985 and his wife Celia Emily Bird 1899-1982 Given by the Family 1986." Mrs. Paterson was a member of the congregation at St. John from 1910 according to a Nugget article in 30 Nov. 1973 for the 90th anniversary of the church.
