Studio portrait of Harold Underwood in uniform in the fall of 1940. He is wearing 3 medals and a badge is visible on his sleeve as well as his wedding ring. Written across the bottom: "H. Underwood Fall 1940". Harold went back into the army from June 1940 to Jan. 1941. He helped mobilize two regiments, the Grey & Simcoe Forresters and the Algonquin Regiment here in North Bay. He had been through this before in WWI. He was discharged because he was already on a RQS pension having had heart problems.
