Frank Demarco, brother to Carmen Demarco, arrived in North Bay first. He had a store in the Mackey Hotel. Back row, l to r, Joe Demarco (killed in WWII, air force, flew a Lancaster), Dom Demarco (air force as well, graduated from Western, won a boxing championship while there), Anthony Demarco (oldest boy, electrical engineer at INCO, won a university boxing championship for all of Canada and is in North Bay Sports Hall of Fame), Connie Demarco (got sick young - TB, ended up in sanitorium at Gravenhurst - spent rest of her life in Windsor area), John Demarco (John, Tony, Dom started a sporting goods shop in Sudbury and did very well). Front row: LtoR, Frank Demarco, Frank Demarco Jr. ( became professor), Vince Demarco (became builder), and Carmela Demarco (sister to Antonia Demarco, Tony's mother). Lena Demarco who died age 6 and her twin who died at birth are also from this family.
